What CEChart is
CEChart is a free tracker for dental continuing education. You log the courses you take, and it counts your hours against the requirement you are working toward, whether that is a state license renewal cycle or an AGD award like FAGD or MAGD. It is a record-keeping and math tool, not a certifying body.
The calculator runs in your browser
The calculator does its math locally, in your browser. Nothing you type into it is sent to a server, stored remotely, or shared. You can model a renewal cycle or an award target, see the gap, and close the tab without leaving any data behind. This is deliberate: quick planning should not require an account or a data trail.
The vault is per-user and encrypted
When you want a lasting record, you create an account and log entries into your vault. The vault is per-user and encrypted, so your CE history is yours alone. Each entry captures what you need for an audit: the course, the date, the hours, the subject area, and the provider. You can keep certificates alongside the entries so everything for a renewal cycle lives in one place.
How hours are counted
CEChart counts your logged hours against the numbers published by your state board or the AGD:
- Each entry is tagged with a subject and a number of hours.
- Hours roll up against the requirement you selected.
- Subject grouping matters for AGD awards, which cap or require hours in specific areas, so the subjects reference shows how areas are grouped.
- The result is a running view of your progress toward the published requirement.

What CEChart does not do
CEChart never marks you compliant, accredited, or finished. It does not report your hours to a state board or to the AGD, and it does not decide whether a course or provider counts. It shows progress toward the published requirement, and nothing stronger than that.
Always confirm the current rules with your state board for renewal, and with the AGD for Fellowship or Mastership. CEChart makes the record and the math easier to keep. The confirmation of whether you have met a requirement stays with the authority that publishes it.
